International house children’s camp in Bulgaria together with IH Poltava 

Location

The camp is situated in Bulgaria, 100 meters from a sandy beach, between the towns of Varna and Burgas (Obzor town). This is a modern tourist camp that is located with unique climate conditions with a highly developed infrastructure for an interesting, active and safe children’s rest.

Residence

There is a hotel complex that consists of one-storey and two-storey houses. Children are housed in rooms for 2-4 people equipped with a TV set, air-conditioning, WC and a terrace.

Catering

Meals supplied 4 times a day. Meals include breakfast, lunch and dinner; also a little snack is included. Meals are served buffet style. Fruits and vegetables are included in the camp’s daily menu.

Educational program

It is compiled for different levels of knowledge. On the first day there is testing and placement to be held according to the level and age. Groups can consist of 6 -12 children. Lessons are run by IH teachers and teachers from the USA and Great Britain only in English language at any level and age. A communicative method is used with the use of different role plays, group and team games. All the lessons are conducted in an interesting and entertaining way. Informal communication with teachers and children from different countries help to overcome language barriers easier and faster. The atmosphere of the English language saturates all spheres of cultural and fun life of the camp. Most evenings, competitions and shows will be held in English. Children will be familiarized with the culture, traditions and history of England and Bulgaria.  At the end of the term children are suppposed to take a test in order to get an International House certificate.

Entertainment

Sports games, intellectual quizzes, shows, and marine holidays are held every day. There are areas for football, volleyball, boxing rink, swimming pool 25 meters long at the camp site.
